15th UEFA Coach Education Conference
Rome, Italy
This coach education conference is a regular event in our national associations’ agendas, and it provides an excellent platform for exchanges between educational leaders across Europe and beyond. The event theme, 'With great education comes great responsibility', speaks to the importance of taking ownership of one's learning, putting one's knowledge, skills and capabilities to use to have a lasting positive impact, and being mindful of the consequences of one’s actions. The conference aims to inspire lasting behavioural change by motivating participants and equipping them with clear, actionable takeaways they can apply immediately after they return home.
The conference starts at 9:00 on Tuesday 20 October and ends at 13:00 on Thursday 22 October. A detailed programme will be distributed to registered participants well in advance of the event. Participants will also be invited to download a specially developed conference app.

In this workshop exclusively for Heads of Coach Education we will continue our discussions from the September's webinar about pedagogy, andragogy and heutagogy. This session will aim to present the current status of how learning experiences are designed and delivered across the different coaching qualification levels (C, B, A and Pro), with a particular focus on developing coaches as better learners (becoming self-directive learners and developing themselves outside the formal coaching courses). In other words, what behavioural changes are we trying to encourage during the coaching courses to support coaches in their self-development process?

Julie Dirksen is an internationally recognized learning strategy consultant, author, speaker, and workshop facilitator. She is the author of Design for How People Learn and Talk to the Elephant: Design Learning for Behavior Change, and the forthcoming Design for How People Build Skills. Her work focuses on translating research from learning science and behavioral science into practical approaches that help organizations improve performance and create sustainable behavior change.
Julie has worked with organizations including WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency), the United Nations System Staff College, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, FedEx, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Pfizer, 3M, and the University of Washington. She holds an M.S. in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University and is a Learning Guild Guildmaster.
